Depending on the industrial branch there are different separation tasks. For example in metal processing plants oil is to be separated from the working fluid and in the solar cell production silicon particles have to be removed from the cutting fluid while the concentrations of the desired additives (detergent, surfactants, and other additives) and their relationship to each other should be kept constant.
