The aim of this recent method is the purification and regeneration of process waters for cost-effective multiple use of these fluids in the production process. Depending on the industrial branch there are different separation tasks. For example in metal processing plants oil is to be separated from the working fluid and in the solar cell production silicon particles have to be removed from the cutting fluid while the concentrations of the desired additives (detergent, surfactants, and other additives) and their relationship to each other should be kept constant. Removal of small oil droplets or silicon particles is difficult because of their tendency to separate from each other due to their negative charge.
